When Everything Goes Haywire

OK, so my next article was going to be about bliss. I figured it would come easy. After all, I’d been thinking a lot about bliss, and doing pretty well with the experiencing of it…last week.

But then everything went to hell in a hand-basket. OK, well maybe not all the way to hell, and certainly not in a hand-basket, whatever that means, but…you know the feeling. It was kind of a chain reaction of one thing after another going wrong.

So a couple of days ago, I was feeling more or less bummed out. But, as I may have mentioned before, in my line of work, it’s hard to stay bummed out if I even listen with half an ear to the guidance that comes through for my clients, because, inevitably, that guidance speaks to me as well.

It just so happened that I had a couple of Vision Attraction sessions to do earlier in the week. And in this particular session, after we get the vision “locked in” and take care of anything that may be in the way of that vision, I always say something like this to the client:

“Any action that you get—in any of the areas of your life you created in—is good news, even if it appears to be the exact opposite of what you want to happen.”

By the second time I said that to a client…I got it! I had to admit that action was happening: a couple of rejection slips in the mail from publications to which I had sent some poetry, a little romantic disappointment, an email informing me that the office I was renting would no longer be available to me, and a few other minor inconveniences.

Like the clients I counsel through the visioning process—whether they do a Vision Attraction session, a Transformational Astrology session, or an intuitive reading, really anything that affirms their deepest desires in a powerful way—my challenge was to meet that action from the place of the person I had asked to be, the person who would create what I have been intending in each of these areas!

Let me give you an example. You may have heard this one before.

I did a Vision Attraction session for a woman whose primary intention was to find a loving, available partner with whom to share her life. Her pattern had been attracting unavailable or married men. After we did the Vision session, that very night, she went out to a dinner party and was approached by the hottest married man she’d ever met. This is action! Because when you tell the Universe (your higher consciousness) what you want to create in a powerful way (which is exactly what a Vision Attraction Session does), if you’ve done it right—stuff happens! And what would the woman who knew she was in the process of calling in her fabulous, available soulmate do if she met a hot, unavailable man?

The correct answer, of course, is that she would say “No thanks, buddy.” Because the person she has asked to be by impressing her vision on her higher consciousness knows that there is abundance in the Universe. Because she trusts that there is a right person for her, and that he’s on the way.

Of course, as we all experience these “setbacks” from time to time, we know that it is not second nature to respond by seeing them as evidence that we are, in actuality, receiving action on our intentions. This is something that takes a bit of practice. And constant reminding. But it is worth it, because becoming that person, the one who would see the vision to fruition—essentially, a visionary—is really what it’s all about.
